printing: Snipsnip

Saturday so far has been a forced-indoors rainy day, but being stuck inside did give me the opportunity to break out the ink again.

Since I'm designing a piece to go on the wall of Paige's salon, I've been spending a lot of time looking at hair-cutting tools for inspiration. Today I made and experimented with a new plate.

I never realized how much I like the shape of salon scissors. There's something very satisfying about the way they curve.

And in repetition, I think they look rather deco.

I wish I could stop smudging the paper, though.
