I had almost the exact same reaction to my jury duty a couple of years ago (minus the witty commentary, of course). Namely that the judicial system is totally screwed, trials happen YEARS after the crime, and by then no one remembers anything. My case ended in a mistrial because the victim couldn&#39;t remember a single detail about her mugging. So...you free later?
